Nice swimming pool, good location. If you like the ocean make sure to check when it’s a season and it’s possible to swim as July is off season and ocean is not blue. Wi-Fi and air conditioning was good. Food ok, chef is very good just no options at all what to choose, most likely it’s because it was off season.

Breakfast was ok ok.

Could have done with more variety of dishes.

Amazing location beach is clean and accessible with a clean pool as delicious food and friendly staff.

The rooms needs maintenance specially the AC and power sockets

The room was nice and the hotel facilities e.g. gym, spa , pool, restaurant were lovely. Great location on Bentota beach.

We stayed for two nights. We arrived early on our first night and we had no problem waiting until check in time to check into our room, however upon our return at check in time we were told we had to wait a further 30minutes at least. Then we were told a king room wasn’t available but a twin room was. On the second day we woke up to loud music and construction work to find that there was a 500 people event taking place at the hotel that evening from 4.30pm - 11.00pm. We had not been told about this upon our booking nor had we been told about this on check in. The music was exceptionally loud in our room and the volume of people and event meant that the gym was unusable due to the set up of equipment. This was meant to be a relaxing last day of our holiday and unfortunately it was not as relaxing as it should have been. As we explained to staff if we had been informed about this event we would have made alternative arrangements for our final night of the holiday. We found the lack of communication and attitude of staff frustrating compared to the incredible hospitality we received in other areas of Sri Lanka. Whilst the hotel is aesthetically beautiful and reasonably priced for this area of Sri Lanka I wish we had spent a little more on one of the surrounding hotels in the area.

Wonderful location with beach and pool in great combination. the rooms right by pool are the best. very calm and staff were incredibly friendly. pool is stunning.

hotel is definitely one of the top ones in the area although quite old and run down, shame. sheets unfortunately were full of stains (looked like foundation and blood?) in both rooms. great potential. bathrooms could do with a little TLC.

The location is amazing, the beach is excellent, outdoor facilities are clean and looked after well

AC system is not working thus very hot in the rooms. The hotel is an old one, improvement is required. Had to shorten the stay and move to another place

location was lovely, on the beach. Very friendly staff. Nice pool, good breakfast.

The room was nice. It could have been freshened up a bit, like the rest of the facilities.

Everything was excellent. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food and drink was excellent and good value - particularly enjoyed the draft beer as opposed to bottles i had in all previous hotels.

There was a small issue with insects in the room, but we didn't even notice it until the last night so it wasn't a problem really.

My first visit in this hotel was in 2008 and it’s quality had not changed for this years(it’s my 5th time here). They do renovations annually, all the rooms are clean, if something is not working they send personnel immediately. Early checkin and late checkout available. Wonderful breakfasts and dinners, awesome spa. There’s a lot of shops and restaurants around the location so you don’t need to worry if you’re decided to book b&b. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really wonderful place to stay... had a nice view to the room... room was very clean and comfortable... food was very tasty... staff was very friendly.... definitely will visit again....

The swimming pool is very nice, although it’s too shallow. The location right in front at the beach is also excellent.

The smell of humidity in the rooms, the minibar was empty, the “cinema” was not working, the blankets were old and broken and the shower didn’t have a good hot water supply. That is not what you expect of a 5stars hotel.

Reception staff was very rude and they don't know to greet and welcome guest , they speak with guest rude way driver and bell boys better than reception and senior reservation staff

Service They did not provide me tooth brush after asking them for several times they told they don’t have and they don’t provide tooth brush.

Location was great, entire experience was poor - service standards is way below Lankan standards

Staff have forgotten to smile, Spoilt fruit, old bacon & old muffins, croissants served for breakfast. On pointing this to mr.sampath the restaurant manager, he said he’s only the manager, food falls in the chef section. It feels like they either don’t like this business, you struggle to see a nice approach, food portions ala carte is very small

Friendly staff, extremely clean. Great views of beach. Close to cute, affordable and authentic restaurants. Short walk to town. Easy to get tuk-tuk to activities.

I organised my own transport to airport via Uber but the drivers that wait out the front of the hotel didn’t like that and forced him to leave. I felt like the hotel security could have stepped in here as I wasn’t sure what was going on

The hotel was not up to the standard of other hotels we stayed in around Sri Lanka for the money we paid, however, the manager and his staff went well above and beyond to look after us which made the overall experience very good.

Overrated Hotel! The rooms were not clean. There were no sleepers inside the room and no toothbrush. Upon calling room service a couple of times, we were still not given the items. It was a nightmare to stay at this hotel. The only positive thing here was the beach view 'only if you get a chance to live in a beach facing room'.

The staff where just fantastic. So friendly and helpful. The room overall was good with a great view of the pool and beach. A little bit more expensive than it possibly could of been but overall a nice place to stay by the beach at Bentota.
